Tours in Zanzibar - Abdul will show you paradise 🙂
the old part of the city of Zanzibar, considered the capital of the island. It is famous for the spice trade, and in the 19th century it was also the site of the slave trade between Asia and Africa.
The city’s architecture has many distinctive features, resulting from the interweaving of influences from many cultures.
Makunduchi is a small village in the Southeast of Zanzibar. Few tourists choose it as their travel destination on the island, which is a pity.
In Makunduchi, you can see the typical African scenery that each of us has before our eyes when we think of Africa.
Nungwi is a fishing village in the north of Zanzibar, where traditional Dhow boats are produced.
Tourists most often visit the village for the unique opportunity to swim with turtles at the Baraca Aquarium, a small lagoon surrounded by corals. Tours to Nungwi also include a village walk.
Prison Island is a small island located 5.6 km northwest of Stone Town. As the name suggests, the island was supposed to be a place of detention of prisoners, but none of them ever ended up there, even though a prison complex was built there. Instead, Prison Island has become a quarantine facility for patients with yellow fever.
Recently, the island has become a tourist center.
The Rock Restaurant
This amazing restaurant located on the Michamvi Pingwe beach on the south-eastern coast of the island is sometimes called a floating restaurant . This is because it stands on a rock partially submerged in the waters of the Indian Ocean near the shore.
Snorkeling with dolphins
One of the most amazing memories you can bring back from Zanzibar is swimming with dolphins.
You can meet them in their natural habitat in Menai Bay or around Mnemba Island and observe them from your boat, as well as swim with them.
Zanzibar is a treasure trove of spices that used to be even more valuable than money and were the subject of an exchange of goods.
Today, they not only add flavor to dishes, but are also used as dyes for fabrics, organic cosmetics and make-up utensils. Some spices with vivid red colors replace lipsticks for women.
Safari Blue is a cruise on a traditional Dhow boat from Fumba Village towards Minai Bay.
During the tour you will have the opportunity to snorkel and admire the underwater world of the Indian Ocean. You will see colorful fish, starfish, beautiful corals and mangroves.
It is the only national park in Zanzibar. There you will find red geese – an endemic species of monkey, which means that it lives only in Zanzibar.
The monkeys were first brought to Zanzibar by British resident John Kirk. Gereza is also one of the endangered species inhabiting the Jozani Forest.
